The Children’s Houses have been discovering the water cycle and the different forms of water: evaporation, infiltration and precipitation. In Geo- graphy, we do activities with the Water and Land globe and Water and Land forms to learn how to make a lake, island, archipelago, bay, peninsula, cape, strait, etc. During the year we discuss we- ather, and how it affects our way of living. Also in the classroom, we do many experiments related to water, such as : sink and float, making music with glasses and water, making ice cubes out of water, and exploring the interaction between oil and water.
We will complete all this knowledge with a visit to the Water and Fountain Museum, a small mu- seum in the middle of nature! A guide will show us the indoor and outdoor exhibition spaces, and we learn about the history of access to water and the professions linked to it. We will look at ques- tions such as: What did people do before taps? Is it easy to have drinking water now compared to before, and how does this differ in other parts of the world? This guided tour invites us to discover the history of water access and raises awareness of water pollution on our beautiful blue planet. Water is also a source of life and tranquility, but it can also create sounds and music as it moves. In addition to the guided tour, we will take part in an aquatic music workshop around our water basins.
