Through concrete experiences, the child learns to understand their world and the realistic consequences that surround it. It is through these concrete experiences within a prepared environment, concentration and developing that sense of curiosity, that the child gains a deep understanding of their world. Through this, the child connects the reality to the developing imagination that follows. Once this solid basis of experiences is set, the child is ready to entertain concepts that are too large to touch and feel, such as the universe, past civilizations, inventors of machines we still use today and ‘big bangsv’!
