School Outing

As part of this work, the students will be visiting ‘Villa Pila - Het Huis van de Batterij’, the educational visitor centre of Bebat. During the visit, they will explore how batteries are made, how they store and provide energy, and what happens to them once they are no longer in use. The students will also learn more about the materials contained in batteries, the importance of collecting and recycling them correctly, and how valuable resources can be recovered and reused rather than lost as waste.

The excursion offers the opportunity to connect classroom learning with everyday technology and broader environmental questions. It will encourage the students to think critically about energy use, consumption and sustainability, while also considering the responsibility we all have in making informed choices. Through this hands-on experience, scientific concepts become more tangible and relevant, supporting the students in seeing how what they learn in the classroom is connected to the world around them.

Date of Excursion: Friday, 16th of October

Mode of transport: Bus

Departure Time: Please arrive at school by 8:30

Arrival at school: The students will be back at school for usual pick-up time

Lunch: Please help your child to pack a picnic lunch and water bottle
